Johor, a familiar yet alien neighbour
(via Johor: Asia Latitude One | American Photo)
National Geographic photographer Justin Guariglia shoots a commissioned assignment by the Johor (Malaysian state) royalty. A short drive across the border and Singapore’s closest neighbour, Johor had always been in my consciousness but but usually just as a destination for cheap food and a quick day trip. Most people never venturing further that what the local malls and city centre have to offer. Justin Guariglia’s unbiased look on Johor is certainly an eye opener and a refreshing take on a familiar subject.
